We Are Here
And I know I haven’t been posting anything new or original lately, but someday soon that’ll change. At present, I’d like thank all my friends out there in Xangaland for just being. It’s warm comfort in a cold winter to know you’re there and I’m here. But not in a way that means we’re separate; for, bathed in the refulgent campfire of the interbulbs, we are all
Here:

(cookies for YOU – stolen from one of godfatherofgreenbay’s ever-marvelous photoposts)
Have a great weekend, everyone. It might be cold, but the days are getting longer!

I noticed that yesterday! That it was almost 6 pm and it wasn’t black as midnight outside. It’s very exciting.
Write something, for crying out loud. If I don’t quit obsessively reading my own blog, people are going to start talking.
@Automaton_Emotion - oh hush. they’re already talking.
@complicatedlight - DAMN IT. I am always the last to know -anything-.
fucking cabin fever and tonight more snow but at least I got to see a fire truck slide into a ditch
your second sentence, yes. sounds so nice to my ears. like something i’d get on my transister radio down in natchez town…late into the night. a voice saying how “…cold it is up here in duluth minnesota” or something like that. and sounding so far away but yet, so close i could smell and feel the snow and cold up there. strange towns i used to pick up on a winter’s january night. being thirteen, having gotten a brand new and my very own little *transister radio, probably for christmas. : )
Sure enough, we are here. I even just started a batch of chocolate chip cookies.
Oh, yes, I am all about looking every evening to notice how much later sunset comes every day, even if I have to look it up in the paper because it’s been so cloudy/dark/snowy that you can’t tell by eyes alone. I LOVE looking forward to the light!
That was an amazing episode of Cake Boss FTW.
It wasn’t until I arrived here that I started warming up. Thanks, bro. You make all the difference around here.
I want a cookie.
wtf does reflugerlent mean anyway, mr. actual colltich professor
Thanks for still sticking around for me. I totally <3 you.
yeah. spring is not far away. have a great weekend. still, please stay warm
There aren’t enough cookies in this post.
Aw how nice! Cookies!!! Lol @stealing it but giving out credit; like an honorable thief. Have a splendid weekend, as well, Phil =)
aww there’s that sweet again… you have a great weekend too, Best.
who needs longer days??
It may be cold, but that makes sitting next to the radiator that much more wonderful.
We had a peaceful, storybook snowfall yesterday. Hope it’s on its way to you.
It’s very neighborly around here.
*refulgent* new word for me! SQUEEE!
thanks, phil, for welcoming my entry. I’ve been around, but not on xanga, obviously. I know I promised last time to post more, but this time, I will, definitely.
hope you’re doing well, and happy new year
hey, old bear. guess who!?
@andiote - i have a pretty good idea.
@complicatedlight - i missed you <3
thank you so much! it has been a cold winter for me!
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
thank you for visiting my site and i also agree that Xanga is a wonderful place!!! which is why i love Xanga.
i love longer days
i miss the sun!
Woot! Hurray for cookies
been thinking about you ..love you sweet phil
not much longer to the ol’ winter this year, methinks.
hey, i like posted and stuff.
come see me.
@aaronmcnees - i dunno, dude. there’s a lot of snow on the ground up here; i expect it to work pretty hard extending winter’s icy grip.
@complicatedlight - i give it 3 weeks or so for the bad stuff to be over with . i don’t think this one will linger on much past then…only 6 weeks officially left anyway.
god, i’m so fucking ready .
@aaronmcnees - i’m just thinking up here, at least, all the cold and increased albedo locked in by this snow will make it a slow spring. nothing wrong with that, though. it’s good to actually have spring last for more like a season than a week. oh, and i do think we’re through the most extreme part (touch wood)
