Summer Images from Tranquility Base

Squall line shelf cloud, wannabe tornado (wall cloud) and a sunset rainbow

NEW! Salad spinner. Now we get full heads of green stuff for salads. Less stupid packaging...more taste!
BONUS! Basil. (goodness he's a thirsty li'l guy)

aww basil
different kind of summer. hope it is enjoyable
Interesting photos. The storm pictures kind of freaky.
i like the first one, the fourth one and the last one. ominous and foreboding or whatever. i dont know. they just look cool, ok?
@TheBillion - uh. maybe?
I really like the first one. I love it when the sky looks like that.
I've been pondering the usefulness of a salad spinner, but I think my kids would miss twirling a cotton bag of greens around pretending it is a lariat.
A lot of great shots here. You have an eye for sky.
Wow, nice pictures. Nice lens too, doesn't really need
any of those Blue Pills, does it?
@lilies_of_snow: I think my mom's salad spinner still
has the graffiti I drew inside it, a sequence of pictures
like the famous galloping-horse (mine was just a bouncing
ball though), so that when you spin it and look at the
pictures through the moving slits, it makes a movie.
Today's kids have iPads... but still, might be something to try:
between that and of course the angular velocity speed trials,
my mom always managed to get help with drying the salad greens.
so beautiful..i love storms pixs..moon and stars too...thanks for sharing..
Love the images. especially the rainbow
@Eyesbehindthesoul - thank you. the second one pictured was far enough away that part of it was actually behind a cloud. i thought that was pretty cool.
sweet. wish i could have gotten a picture of the double rainbow on the flight line. it looked so cool behind the jets
Wow, you took those top photos? Me, I'd be running the other way!
Lovely photos.
Yep, definitely close to the same neighborhood. That first picture's West Bank, isn't it? That's where all my classes are. Nice storm cloud pics!
@shpadoinkle12 - sure is...good ol' west bank. thank you!
@Diva_Jyoti_3 - it gets a little hairy here at times. knowing when to "get below" is a bit of an art.
