I am sending postcards to any xanga friend that gives me their address. PM it to me. P,S. I currently live in Japan
I’ve been getting mad footprints from Guatemala lately. I wonder why I am suddenly so interesting to Central America?
such a popular phil!
@kaiori - …more like i get very few hits anymore so the stalking really stands out. (no offense, dear india. stalking isn’t necessarily a bad thing. looking forward to your email

Hey Phil–
This comes up a lot and I have a question… What if someone wants to read but has no interest in making first-hand contact? I mean, I’ve read most of David Sedaris’ books, but I’m never going to send him an email. If he only published online, I’d feel the same way. There are definitely blogs I read regularly without having any intention of “talking” to the writer. (I also always assumed multiple hits from faraway places had to do with random search engines gathering information. Most of the time I don’t assume it’s “people” at all. Although on the off chance–hey, Ukraine.) Do you want them to get in touch because it annoys you or because you’re curious? g.
I some times imagine that these “footprints” are really plankton in the worlds oceans floating around to various countries, somehow gaining access to the internet only to float around in xanga before returning to float around in the ocean.
it doesn’t annoy me that someone’s reading me anonymously. of course it’s *nice* to know…but by far it’s more a curiosity thing for me. i can usually tell if it’s a “bot or not” based on the hit timings and the pages visited; these “india” footprints are definitely left by a human being. whether they actually originate in india is another question altogether, what with spoofing and all. i do have relatives in india, so i find these hits particularly interesting. i rather doubt they’ll email me, but hey…can’t hurt to ask.
Marvelous place, India! Footing ahead ftw. I get mine from California. I wish I could say I have someone in California /sad panda face!111
I hope they get in touch – how interesting! (Says the usually-silent lurker.)
are you really in india?
It’s probably jus some sex offender or somethin. I wouldn’t worry too much about it
LOL! I have some people I want to do this to, too. I can’t figure out how some people in certain countries even found me! XD Haha. Love it, though. Kind of creepy, but yeah. It’s all good!
