The record low is negative seventeen inches!
I just woke up, please ignore me.
Friday the 13th, and there’s an ominous absence of snow in Minnesota…
baby i’m amazed at this report.. sort of like down here in texas. sort of.
@ordinarybutloud - DON’T THINK I DIDN’T SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE. (i ought to steal it.)
@randaness - i don’t think that’s an option. ignoring you, i mean.
@complicatedlight - it’s pretty hilarious, if I say so myself.
@At_Sixes_And_Sevens - but…that’s an improvement. shirley.
@Roadkill_Spatula - LOL i KNEW something was up.
@be_the_rain - glad you like it. i was thinking it might spark some controversy. or at least comparisons. thank you
@ordinarybutloud - you realize i was waiting for it, right?
@complicatedlight - MWAHAHAHAH.
Texas, at least the DFW area is supposed to be 95-105F for the next week or so. Water is already in the rationing stage, trees are turning brown and it isn[t becauise it’s fall. No BIG wildfires in this area but I know there is a burn ban and I think that may include B-B-Qs. The big helicopters are practicing picking up water from the lake and dropping it. I guess we are as ready as we will ever be.
Good to know…
@complicatedlight - of course.
@oceanstarr - you don’t care. i can tell.
@mommachatter - looks like the far east texas is getting some rain. but i loaded up the water vapor map today; aside from that area, texas (and pretty much JUST texas) is one giant atmospheric dry spot. i really hope you have a better summer than last. thanks for commenting
@RestlessButterfly - you ain’t missin’ much, miss. it’s cold wet nasty stuff.
my experience with it is limited enough to know i’ll take dying in the heat any day.
winter’s miracle get’s old pretty damned quick.
some people like it but it’s sad and treacherous stuff as as far as i’m concerned.
see: “Most terribly cold it was; it snowed, and was nearly quite dark, and
evening– the last evening of the year. In this cold and darkness there
went along the street a poor little girl, bareheaded, and with naked
feet. When she left home she had slippers on, it is true; but what was
the good of that? They were very large slippers, which her mother had
hitherto worn; so large were they; and the poor little thing lost them
as she scuffled away across the street, because of two carriages that
rolled by dreadfully fast.” ~ Hans Christian Anderson, The Little Matchstick Girl.
@aaronmcnees - shut up, mcnees.
@complicatedlight - spare ye a groat, guv’nor?
a groat, eh? you’ll be thankin’ yer lucky stars i don’t lash yer scurvy skin to the yardarm for the gulls.
I read somewhere that July is the only month it doesn’t snow somewhere in Canada. Certainly not here, with 35C/90F heat and fire bans all over.
i missed the weather report. that must be why you’re friends with obl and not with me.
there. HAPPY NOW?
