fever goes up at night, usually. hope by morning you’re feeling better. you know i’ll check in on you. and i know lil is taking care of da bear. still. <3
@be_the_rain - hey there firebird. yep. darn thing peaked out at 103.8 last night. almost high enough to worry about, right? lil was a little flustered about it all (lol she has what i call the “5 second bear delay” on any higher brain function. i showed her the digital readout on the thermometer and she was like ah yes, 103.8……then about five seconds passed….waitaminute one hundred and three point eight?!) and i was like yeah but it’s gonna do it’s thing it’s gonna burn out you’ll see. so we didn’t panic. put ice packs on that puppy and got some sleep and it was 98.8 this morning.
: ( ~~~ is it the flu, did you get your flu shot?? poor baby. try some airborne, if it’s not too late. my med trans teacher swore by it. stay warm and off your feet. rest. plenty of rest. i know you’re getting sick of hearing all the remedies. i remember once in natchez i had the flu so bad. my first love’s mother gave me some coricidin. i swear to you that i was well within one day, after suffering for a few days and feeling awful. they have probably changed the formula for that too, but it’s worth a try. have lil get some for you. wait, she ….oh no, who’s gonna drive? sigh. i wish i could help.

thank you for the advice. no i didn’t get a flu shot this year… i did take ZINC early on…but even that didn’t fend it off. : i dunno, if things start getting worse i might ask lil to walk to a relatively nearby drugstore. but she’s not doing too well, either…and it’s cold and windy out there today. having said all that, all i need is less than 103.8 tonight and i’ll know we’re beating it. so far the maximum today was 100.5. i think we got this thing…just a bit more slowly than expected/hoped for.
@complicatedlight - maybe they can deliver some things? hope so, i feel so helpless to help. ~ airborne; ~ coricidin; ~ 7up; ~ kleenex or puffs; ~ aspirin. okay, i will check back later. thanks for the update.

@complicatedlight - richard has no room AT ALL to roll his eyes. you would not believe how he can be when he’s sick. even when he’s not, he packs everything with him *just in case* something was to happen?? jesus. he carries three different kinds of hall’s mentho-lyptus cough suppressant/oral anesthetics (honey lemon – for bears, i suppose); cherry; and i forgot the other one, probably regular, lol, and that is just for starters. he has little packs of kleenex, dental floss, hand lotion (which he never uses – i guess that’s for me) and things you wouldn’t even believe. and that’s just his emergency kit, including bandaids and such.

i’m ok so far. gonna get away from this silly computer, though. i think it might be worse than lack of orange juice. hey but i got some sprite (not 7-up, unfortunately…remember when that stuff was REALLY awesome?).
